GM Guys
As my title implys .... I was a little uncertain of the results at this end of
RoverMania ... I have never worked many rovers in a contest and for the
most part only when they come north. All the different frequencies multiplied
by bands and directions had more than my head and array spinning.
So from the beginning ... I was NOT prepaired for what was to come.
What happened????
My results were the BEST August contest I have ever had, and new UHF
"records" in almost every category. Remember ... I only compare my scores
to my OWN past scores.
Highlights: All the Qs with KB0ZKX/R 222,432 AND 1296!!
W9JN Starting off my contest on 432 and 222 :>)
432 and 222 contacts with PG/ILT in last 2min
TNX KC0P/N0HZO :>) Nice Rover Qs
Welcome "home" Andy K0SM/R
KB0CIM on for 3 Qs in last 1/2hr, TNX Jim
W0LER on .. so EN35 could be "filled in" Yea John
Great results on 1296 runs ... only lost 2 out of all runs
A random 10Ghz RS contact with WA0SSN EN34 :>)
N0URW ...222Mhz
29 Rover contacts (43% or the total Qs)
All the new Contest "High numbers"
25 contacts and 13 grids 222 (tie on best grids)
32 contacts on 432 new high
9 contacts in 6 grids on 1296, both new highs
2 contacts on 10Ghz (Both EN34 155mile+ RS)
Low Points: Repeated 1296 attemps with W0IBM and nothing at all.
Only 222 with URW and nothing from DRH or KM0T
Nothing NW after many calls Sunday
That the ARRL could even consider AUG without contest
That I was such a pessimist!
