[NLRS] Power supply question

I have an Astron SS-30M (switcher) and a RM-50M (regulated). I actually don't
like the switcher very much because the fan cycles about every 10 minutes just
running the 756 in receive mode. I think the power supply should be able to run
at 2 amps all day with out the fan. The RM-50 just sits there and works. I use
it to run the 706, all the bricks, transverters and fans. The SS-30 runs the
756. I will not buy another switcher unless it will supply 2-3 amps without
needing the fan.
On the other hand the switcher is very light and if your shack is in the
basement or other such location the fan may not be a factor.
