[NLRS] Anyone using a Radio Shack HTX-100 to drive a transverter?

Some time ago I raised the question about using a HTX-10 Radio Shack
10-meter transceiver as an I.F. for a transverter.

Several folks pointed out the drawbacks of the radio and suggested that the
Uniden 2600 or Radio Shack HTX-100 were better for my purpose and that DEM
had an article on their site by Rus Healy, NJ2L describing how to modify
the HTX-100. I obtained both the article, a HTX-100, and the service
manual for it. Tonight I looked at the Healy article that describes how
to pick off low-level (40mW) of 10-meter drive but since the manual does
not give a PCB trace diagram it is hard to figure out exactly where he
obtained the drive.

Has anyone followed this article for using a HTX-100 as an I.F.? I would
like someone who has done this to mark up a digital picutre which I will
send with the exact tap-off point on the PCB. The same goes for finding a
point in the circuit that goes to a positive voltage on TX -- Healy
suggests the base of Q39. Has anyone done this mod and can they point me
to exactly the right place on the PCB?

All suggestions are appreciated. I am aware of the DEM RF-sensing board
but would prefer to make a direct low-level drive connection and a hard PTT
keying connection if possible. I am anxious to get the I.F. radio
interfacing done as I have a Microwave Modules 432-28S transverter waiting
to be hooked up!
