[NLRS] ACSB repeater - long

Back a while ago there was a spirited discussion about using 146.46 as a
talkback freq. for 10ghz. At the time I made a joke to Donn about a
Sideband vhf repeater for talkback and range extension. After that I
started to research for a plug and play device that would allow Handheld use
and came across the SEA products which have been showing up on EBAY. WB6JNN
did some work several years ago as a result of his stints in SBE and KLM
which is documented in his link below (the acsb stuff is towards the end of
the read).
I propose that we, as a club, might set up a 222 MHz ACSB repeater to act as
a talkback for various functions like 10ghz coordination and regular
chit-chat. This would be in keeping with our VHF/UHF/MW weak signal SSB
tradition/mission and may provide for some interesting results during band
openings as regular SSB units can talk to the repeater with some fiddling or
you can build and put in a board. This would also allow for less equipment
and handheld operation when you are lugging a bunch of 10ghz equipment
around.
Just a though.
