I do too know Matt's situation, and I am sure hes quite capable of sorting
through the information.

The question was really specific. It didn't ask your opinion of omnis.
Sometime
the op doesn't have any choice because of constraints. I know Matt's
situation. This is a fellow that regularly wins the category he enters.
He knows the value of gain antennas but when you can't fit
a 20 foot boom in the space you have then what good is it.
