Some place I read that the "One Station per Vehicle" rule was put
in place to ban the dreaded San Diago Microwave Bus. Some one
(reported to be on the East Coast) heard that they were setting up
a school bus with dishes out each window, planning to drive the
coastal highway and make repeated contacts with a station (stations)
on Catalina Island. Since the boys on the East Coast could not think
of a similar setup for themselves, they had it outlawed. Sounds like
it would have worked along the North Shore, except now the rules
will not allow it.
