Again, from my experience, that's a good thing to do.

I always had the cops stopping by.  Never had a problem, but, they always
stopped and wanted know what was going on because some had called them.

Several years ago, I bought a couple of magnetic signs at Dayton.  "Amateur
Radio Communications" is all they say.  I slap'em on the sides of the
mini-Van when I go out.  The police still come by... they have to if someone
calls... but now they slow down and wave!  One in ten will stop; and then
usually to ask me if everthings OK... or to say his brother, or son, or Dad,
is ham.  The sign is well worth the time or cost!

I think that I might add a sign to the rover trailer on back says something
about amature radio.

What a fun contest.... can we do it again?
