[NJARC] Car antennas

Hi Joe,

I know just enough about his to be dangerous.  The short antennas are 
active antennas, that is, they have an amplifier at their base, and need 
a source of 12-volts.  I don't know if the DC comes from the radio, or 
just out of the general wiring harness.  I see some vehicle specific 
adapters that have both a coax with a Motorola (standard care radio) 
plug, and wire for DC.
