Ok,

  Let me add 2 more questions to this ,
 One, is the converter a broad band item? that is, does it convert the 
spectrum, to be tunable by the old TV? or is it a tunable device itself, modulating 
its output to either the old channel 3 or so? 

 And as another question, does the impending change affect UHF as well as VHF 
channels?
