Hi Al-
Thanks for the advice! I took a quick look(I will
print them out later) at your Skywaves site, and think
it's pretty good info... I liked the little pigtail
idea: it will save me lots of time, and trouble. And I
will give the cord trick a shot- I seem to recall a
nice roll of vintage 1980's kite string in my storage.
I also had a chance to go through some of the other
Skywaves pages regarding the antenna, and since I got
the parts from you Friday night, think I will be
building the Baluns you described. There is one
diagram on the site which showed a pictoral, rather
than schematic diagram, which helped me "see" in my
mind what I need to build.(I need pics from last
month's tech talk!lol)
Do you think there is any way, other than the blun
construction, I might be able to improve my antenna
setup, based on what I've mentioned? Also, once I get
my license, I hope to set up mt HT-37: I am pretty
sure my antenna setup is not quite par for that, or do
you have suggestions which would help me to do so?
Thanks again!
Scott
