Hi Guys:

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies.

I just got a copy of the manual...see the reference to the align proceedure.

Just happen to have a signal generator...and a scope to see the output freq 
is correct.

Got my trusty RCA VoltOhmyst...and I know mininum from maximum readings.

What I don't have is a set of those test leads with the "j" hook end to 
connect to the wire on the tube pin...wonder if Radio Shack has them?
