[NevadaARES] Wednesday night net

The NV Section is planning to start an Echolink
SKYWARN Net. The net will be on NV-GATE conference
node 152566 on Wednesday night at 1900 local time.

In the Reno area most Echolink traffic has been on the
N7TGB repeater. In Elko it has been on the W7LKO
repeater. Las Vegas will be on 146.46 simplex (123
pl). If you join the net from a computer log onto
Echolink conferences and look for NV-GATE (W7AOR).

An ARES portion of the net will follow immediately
after the SKYWARN net.

There will be a call for check-ins beginning with
Elko, Reno, Tonopah and then Las Vegas. The exchange
will be a brief weather report at the time you check
in. Please advise net control if you have any
additional announcements.

At the conclusion of the SKYWARN net, ARES appointees
will be asked to check in (DEC's/EC's and AEC's) and
then it will be open to any ARES member or visitor.
Any information and announcements pertaining to NV
Section ARES will then be discussed or announced. We
plan to have this NV ARES net only once per month, on
the 2nd Wednesday of each month. The weekly net will
be held on Saturday mornings on 3965 lsb at 0830 as
usual.

The net format will be informal. If we plan to have a
weekly SKYWARN net we'll need volunteers to handle net
control from anywhere in the State. When checking into
ARES Net please indicate if you have traffic for the
net when you check in.
