[NevadaARES] NV SKYWARN Net

This past Wednesday we started our NV Section SKYWARN
Net on Echolink Conference node NV-GATE (152566).

We had stations from Pahrump, Elko and Las Vegas
checking in with local weather observations. We also
included some discussion of our past winter weather.

Our plan is to have a weekly SKYWARN net on Wednesday
evening's at 1900 local time. We could use a few more
volunteers to help with Net Control. Next Wednesday,
Dave W7GK in Elko will be running the net. If you're
interested in joining the net, check with your local
area amateur radio operators for Echolink capable
repeaters. 

ARRL Nevada Section Manager, Dick K7VC said last week
that a 2 meter repeater in Minden, NV will soon be
able to operate on Echolink and they plan to join the
SKYWARN net!

In Las Vegas the NV Section SKYWARN Net can be heard
on 146.46 simplex (PL 123).
