Greetings!
As some of you may have noticed, the beloved 447.275 repeater was having
some technical difficulties late this afternoon. At approximately 19:47
MST, K1TJ and I took a trip up to the repeater site, after attempting
(unsuccessfully) to shut down the machine via RF. We removed the controller
and the radio for repairs. Tom has taken the equipment to his shack and
reports that it should be back on the air some time tomorrow. It is unclear
at this time what exactly malfunctioned, but initial thoughts are that the
repeater controller is having some self esteem issues. For now, the
repeater is off the air.
This is all of the information that I have at this point, and any future
questions should be directed to K1TJ or KB0NE.
The club net for this evening was cancelled since the net control station
(KD8BQN) was in the midst of traveling up Towers Road to repair the
malfunctioning repeater. Several announcements were made at net time on the
repeater output regarding the situation, but my sincerest apologies to
anyone who did not hear them.
All the best,
Dave
