AREDN? is a trademark of the Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network.
https://www.arednmesh.org/

The Miami Valley Microwave Alliance is seeking venues to present
the current state of our microwave IP network and current services
being advertised and transported.
Amateur Radio clubs in Miami, Clark, Greene, Clinton, Warren, Butler,
Preble, and Darke Counties appear especially suitable venues.
If you have contact information on ARCs in these areas, please reply.

73, Chuck nc8q

All:

This thread is about this video:
https://youtu.be/m8dULatKgBQ

On another mail list Mark N2MH recounted the above.
I think this was before I joined MVMA.
*Anyone recall the loading of IP addresses into phones and dialing from
the phones' internal whitepages?*

I started with IP phones when Tim N8NQH gave me 2 Nortel phones that do
not IP dial.
I had to have a PBX to use them, so I created nc8q-raspbx. ;-)

Chuck, when I joined the network a couple years ago, I recall there being some text files on someone?s server/node with a phone book (extensions/IPs and names). You could point your phone settings to that file and it would load the directory.

Perhaps this is what they are referring to by loading a file.
