[MVMA] Mesh and 2019 Simulated Emergency Test (SET) 5 October 2019

Greetings Dayton Area Meshers
Our local club here in Butler County  scheduled a countywide emergency 
drill for this Saturday, October 5.
We had not thought about the state wide ARES drill being the same day.

  Our plan is it to include three portable mesh stations in our exercise.
The node/antenna poe, and laptop are powered by a small inverter plugged 
into a vehicle power outlet.

  The plan is to point our portable antennas at the Pleasant run water 
tank node which is actually just inside Hamilton county .

I will report back how our test goes. I think mesh is  extremely 
practical during a disaster event .

  Most served agencies have no idea how valuable amateur radio operators 
and our various tools are until they are needed . IMHO
