...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT CENTRAL MORRIS...SOUTHERN SUSSEX
AND CENTRAL WARREN COUNTIES...

At 103 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Hope, or 16
miles southwest of Newton, moving northeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Dover, Hopatcong, Kinnelon, Hackettstown, Boonton, Butler,
Wharton, Rockaway, Blairstown, Morris Plains, Mount Arlington,
Franklin, Mountain Lakes, Stanhope, Hamburg, Netcong, Oxford,
Ogdensburg and Hope.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
