The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Monmouth County in central New Jersey...

* Until 345 PM EDT.

* At 253 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Middletown,
  or 7 miles southwest of Sandy Hook, moving northeast at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
           possible.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sandy Hook, Middletown, Holmdel, Keansburg, Matawan, Highlands,
  Navesink, Lincroft, Keyport, North Middletown and Strathmore.

This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 113 and 119.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Mount Holly NJ.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
