...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 412 PM EDT, emergency management reported flash flooding in Ocean
Acres and across portions of southeastern Ocean County. Although the
heaviest rain is over, between 4 and 6 inches of rain fell earlier
today, and flash flooding is occurring.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Barnegat, Brookville, Beach Haven West, Manahawkin, Ocean Acres and
Waretown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
