...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM EDT FOR CENTRAL OCEAN COUNTY...

At 409 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms earlier today. Although the heaviest of the rain is
over, overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding
in the advisory area. Between three and five inches of rain fell.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Toms River, Barnegat, Beachwood, Seaside Heights, Surf City,
Mantoloking, Dover Beaches North, Brookville, Leisure Village East,
Dover Beaches South, Beach Haven West, Brick Township, Leisure
Village, Holiday City South, Point Pleasant, South Toms River, Island
Heights, Bay Head, Ocean Acres and Gilford Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
