803 AM EDT MON JUN 11 2018
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has extended the
* Flood Advisory for...
Atlantic County in southern New Jersey...
Eastern Cumberland County in southern New Jersey...
Southeastern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey...
Cape May County in southern New Jersey...
* Until noon EDT.
* At 800 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated additional rain moving
toward southern New Jersey. While this rain is not as heavy as the
rain which fell during the overnight hours, the very wet
conditions that now exist require less rain to cause flooding
problems. The Flood Advisory has therefore been extended until
Noon.
* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Vineland, Atlantic City, Millville, Ocean City, Cape May,
Cumberland, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine,
Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Buena, Egg Harbor City, North
Wildwood, Laurel Lake, Wildwood Crest, Weymouth and Woodbine.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
