[MRCA] Anyone using a Xiegu X-108G transceiver?

I recently bought one of these 20w AM/CW/SSB transceivers.  I got a 
rather nice deal from Radioddity for far less than the "going" and find 
it does work "ok" into a full-size dipole.   I now sit and look at the 
box and sometimes wonder why I bought it.  From experience, I know that 
20 watts is not exactly a power-house but can work in proper conditions. 
Would this unit be usable for, say, the Moose and Squirrel net? Thinking 
ahead, I'm working on a whip antenna and tuner to make it an ersatz 
PRC-type rig.  Curious of other's experience, if any?
