[MRCA] R-174, Angry 5 RX

I saw an angry five receiver/w power supply in a local antique store for $200. The owner might haggle. My question: Will it perform better than a good bc348? I realize the bc348 has a crystal filter. The angry 5 is dirty but the inside is clean. It looks like a grc 9 rcvr with an additional band. Is the selectivity the same as a grc 9 / wide as a barn ?
