I just got off of our Local 3885 Noon Sunday AM net with my T-47,/kART 13. It shows around 2 amps on the RF amp meter, and 100 watts on the Bird Wattmeter. I have a 1120 PF bread slicer between the external cap and ground, set to about 900 PF. The antenna is a 250 foot flattop, fed with ladder line tuned by a large homebrew balanced tuner, using the B&W 1000 series coils , swinging link and large banna jacks for the jackbar. I can load it up to over a 100 watts on the bird, but do not. The plate current keyed, but no audio, is just over 130 mills, and on voice peaks 180 mills. I use a MN 32 desk mic, a T-17B ( the plastic one, with the 7 large holes), or a T-26A wihich uses a Western Electdric F-1 element. I achieve great audio reports with all. I have 3 different A -13's and all have simular charateristics. I have a DY 12 dynaamotour that gives simular results.
