[MRCA] Portable Fluorrescent Lantern = Small DC B+ Power Supply for GRC-9 Receiver?

The thought struck me as I was checking out a neat little Ozark Trails portable fluorescentcamp lantern that my son Dave gave to me a while back - can this thing be used to make nominal 105-125 VDC for B plus for things like things like a GRC-9 receiver battery power B plus source, or for a BC-611 walkie talkie B plus supply, or for a homebrew regen receiver?  I'm guessing that it has a little switching power supply in it to make enough AC voltage at some frequency to light the small CFL that it uses, powered by 4 D cells.  Would not be hard to rectify and filter to make DC for a little tube radio, I would think.  Anyone ever try this, and or have a schematic for it?
