[MRCA] Fwd: Switching power supplies

It depends on the vintage, older switchers tend to be noisier because of
lower switching frequencies. I have Lambdas that run stone silent, even on
160, and other that cut a swath like a buzz saw through all bands. In
general, the newr supplies are pretty much silent, even more so than linears
in some cases. BTW, I run my entire GRC-19 from a 50A Lambda switcher.

Subject: [MRCA] Fwd: Switching power supplies

I've read mixed reviews on using a switching power supply on a r-392. I
bought a what I thought to be a linear unit. The seller made an honest
mistake and realized its a switcher now its in the mail coming my way. It's
a lambda which I understand to be pretty high end. I was gonna try it to see
how it works before I send it back.

Any thoughts?
