All
For those who might know someone who has a military radio, but does not have
a tech license yet, the ARCsquared radio group in Northern NJ is running an
all day tech class followed by the VE session. The class is free. Any
MILITARY RADIO ENTHUSIAST IS WELCOME

The Test and class will both take place on November 6, 2011, at the
Fairfield NJ chapter, commencing at 9am. For more information, please
refer to www.arcsquared.org/Tech-class-info.htm.

Regarding LinkedIn, I long ago put a rule in my email client to trash all
incoming LinkedIn emails. Which is where I found the thread and discussion
regarding this email scourge. Sorry I almost missed it :-)

They may be, but from what I've been told by victims that have been
abused, they actively try to hide the opt-out for address scans. That
means the default setting is that your address book is compromised and
invites get sent to everybody. FaceBook does a similar thing.

The first time I was hit with this was with a personal friend, a woman,
who joined LinkedIn to find somebody's address and had her address book
hijacked.

When I called LinkedIn at the time, they admitted the opt-out was hard to
find and many people don't even think to look.

A similar ruse is used by eBay to make sales "PayPal ONLY" the default. I
lost out on a very nice ARB mount because I don't use PayPal.

Oh, and unless the OP is put on Moderation, the invite will come again,
and again, and again. I reject several such posts a week.

YMMV,

-John
