Well, the battery on my 320 finally died. Bad timing. I have no idea
how much of my transmission was heard. I was portable at the "Cleft
Rock" park in the Pine Hills of Plymouth, MA.

I wanted to dedicate my transmission to my father in law, James V.
Gratta who passed away last Monday Nov 7, 2011. He was a radio operator
on a B-24, 8th Air Force, 44th Bomb Group, 506th Squadron. He told me
years ago that he was a flight cadet but got bumped out. When I asked
why he was bounced, all he would say was "They didn't like the way I
landed." He had a big grin on his face when he told me that. I have
his 8 Ball patch, escape maps and an album filled with wartime photos.
Many are action photos while in the air.
God bless you, Grampa!

Anyway, the battery is on my old Lambda variable supply with adjustable
current limiting. I should have done it earlier this week but it's been
kind of hectic around here.

This afternoon I was tuning around 20m and worked WW2COS, Guy K4GTM who
was in the radio operator's position of the B-17 "City of Savannah" at
the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah. It was quite fitting.

Thanks for running the net, Al. I've had a great time since hooking up
with it. Here's a pic of my very brief deployment.
