I have included below an email from Lars,
SN6MN reminding everyone of the Christmas eve
transmission of SAQ on 17.2 Kcs. Yes that is
correct 17.2 Kcs, a very low frequency.
This occurs on Christmas Eve "morning" repeat
morning at 0800 Z which is 0300 EST on the day
before Christmas. One of our military group N3FRQ
was successful in picking up the transmission
several years ago and I was able to snag portions
of it last year. Several other stations were
successful to include Todd, WD4NGG- Jay, W1VD,
and Dave, AA1A. W2AMI also picked up the
station last year, he did it the hard way with a
homebrew receiver utilizing a type 77 detector,
and a 76 audio amplifier, and a tent. :-)
Details and further links on my web page.
