[Motorola] Talk About Cell Phone question

Good afternoon everyone.  I just have discovered that I have  had a little  miss
 hap with a Motorola Talk About Cell phone that I have.  It accidently went
through the wash, and right now it is just making a funny noise that it
stopped making a minute or so ago.  The batteries are wet, but I don't
know about the other  electronics of the phone.  I'm just wondering if I will
have to replace it or should I just let it dry out for a day or so
removing the battery  cover so that I can get some air in there.  Any
information would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.
