In the words of Homer Simpson, "DOH!!!"   Well, it may survive, Jeff.
I would remove the battery pack and put it in a warm, dry place with
a fan blowing on it for a minimum of 24 hours.  You can also shake
as much water out of it as possible.  If it went through the "wash"
with detergent, you may have long-term trouble from corrosion even
moreso than just plain water.  The sooner that you can shake out
all the water, the better.  If you have a heat lamp, you might use it
as well and that will warm up the unit better and allow the fan to
draw out the moisture better.  Give it a good day of "drying" and you
may save it.  I have rescued two small HT's using this same method
in the past so, it's worth a try....
