[Motorola] How to charge my SABER Ni-MH from 13-14 VDC ?

For an un-expected business trip in a foreign country .  Please ....any idea
how much current I can safely re-charge my SABER Ni-MH ( Rapid Charge )
battery from a 13-14 VDC rented car ?
Do I need a 8 VDC  regulator .?  or just a droping resistor .....for how
much current ?......over night  or preferably during the full day operation
. ...... may be just 7 -8 droping diodes will do ?


I used to have a car battery charger permanently installed in  it .....but
they stoled the full car from me  a few years ago ....and didn't ship me
back the battery charger .....
