Hello Tim, nice to met up with you here. To speed up antenna 
configuration to change bands, I have quick disconnects on the masts on 
both ends. The lower mast quick disconnect is for the vehicle mounting, 
and the upper one is for the coils being used. That makes it easier to 
put them on and off the vehicle so they dont get "borrowed" when I go 
into a store or visit friends.

Have found the longer mast whips and the higher power coils are more 
broad banded than the other options too.
