[Mobile-Portable] Question about HF mobile

On my Ford, neither the cab nor the bed is grounded to the frame, except by
a couple of (too small for HF) copper braids. The body is mounted to the
frame via bolts, but they go through rubber grommets (donut sized) for
vibration dampening. There's probably some DC continuity there, but not
much at HF. That's why everyone says to bond everything to everything else
- it helps the antenna's ground, making it more efficient, but it also cuts
down on RF in the rig.

JV, its mounted to the lip of the top of my truck bed, like where you would
install bed rails on a truck for decoration, hope I'm explaining that
correctly.
I have no idea if the cab is grounded to the chassis, you would think it
would be.
Size of wire going to the battery, if you talking about the power cable that
came with the radio, its the original cable, not anything pieced together.
Radio is not grounded as of yet, but working on that.
Fuses are at the battery.
