How much does the soft drawn stranded copper stretch?
When you put tension on stranded wire it will stretch as the strands
tighten up.
Soft drawn copper stretches due to its makeup.
The reason the phosphor bronze is used is it does not stretch.
I guess soft drawn copper could work for portable antennas if its length
is checked periodically.
Soft drawn copper is definitely easier to work with.

The vendors selling them mentioned that there the recyclers didn't want it because it was too difficult to extract the wire. The overseas recyclers used to burn off the insulation to get to the wire and this was not possible. I was originally looking for tinned stranded PVC wire but it was hard to find because there was a market with the recyclers.

I don't like the untinned flexweave type of wire because the strands are quite thin and could break. They also absorb moisture via capillary action.
