[Milsurplus] [MMRCG] AN/URC-32 on the RATT net today

I was running about 300 watts. The URC-32 uses AFSK so the finals still run
as a linear amp. I got it running Thursday and noted the start-up chirp but
haven’t had a chance to investigate. It is a xcvr so the synthesizer
shouldn’t glitch between XMT and RCV. Maybe something peculiar to the FSK
oscillator?
There’s always something to investigate!
But it was fun to activate the beast on RATT. I’ve been using it on the
7296 USB voice net with the handset.
