Laying it on a little thick aren't you tough guy? I'm a Marine, no ex-Marines exist, '68-'72. Vietnam '70-'71, CH-46 helicopter .50 BMG gunner.
Okay, happy birthday. If BS was music, you'd be a brass band.

Yeah, I think that it did before the auction ended.

Their actions are often counter-intuitive. Like their foreign tracking numbers if you opt for eBay rather than for USPS for foreign shipping. Their system is happy if you send one of their numbers when you tell them an item is shipped. But I have yet to find a way to use the number. Same with the customers. I just received a message from a foreign buyer asking where he can go to find out where his package is. And I don?t have an answer to give him other than that if his package is ever delivered, eBay will change its status from Shipped to Delivered. Lot of help THAT will be. NOT.

I thought the link would go right to the little whips. I guess not,
since they sold out. Even more strange, clicking on the link I sent,
goes to a blank page, I have to look for the previous listing to see the
whips. Ebay is a real mess!

I'm familiar with the dipoles, I have one or two around here somewhere,
never found a use for them.

The sets make an easy transceiver. The battery packs can be fabricated.

The U.S.M.C. is 246 years of romping, stomping, hell, death and

Destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen.

We were born in a bomb crater, our mother was an M-16 and our father

 Was the devil.

Every moment that I live is an additional threat upon you life.

I am a rough looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky.
Self-centered,

Overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I am fear
itself.

I am a green, amphibious monster made of blood and guts who arose from
the

Sea, festering on anti-Americans throughout the globe. Whenever it may
arise,

And when my times comes, I will die a glorious death on the battle
field, giving

My life to mom, the corps and the American flag.

We stole the eagle from the Air force, the anchor from the navy, and the
rope

From the Army. And on the 7th day, while God rested, we over-ran his
perimeter

And stole the globe, and we've been running the show ever since.

We live like soldiers, and talk like sailors and slap the hell out of
both of them.

Soldier by day, lover by night, drunkard by choice

                                     MARINE BY GOD.

"A year before [ 1937 ] the Finnish Air Force the Flygvapnet launched its program, the Flygvapnet ( Swedish Air Force ) had begun implementing its own plan for expansion and reorganization. Because it was estimated that domestic manufacturers would be unable to satisfy their needs before 1943, the government placed an order for 120 EP-106 fighters [ export model of U.S. P-35 ] with Seversky. However, shortly after the arrival of the first 60 in early 1940, the United States introduced an arms embargo. Like Great Britain, Sweden's inability to obtain further EP-106s led them to look to Italy.

"Designed by an engineer who had worked in the United States, the Re.2000 was modeled after the Seversky
P-35 ... Having failed in her efforts to buy Seversky EP-106 ( the export model of the P-35 ) Britain dispatched a purchasing mission to Italy...a contract was signed in January 1940 for 300 Re.2000, which the RAF planned to use to strengthen British defenses in the Middle East. Remarkably, Germany - which had been at war with Britain since September 1939, waited until March to issue an official objection. However, as it transpired, plans to deliver the Re.2000 by way of neutral Portugal were cut short by Italy's entry into the war."

Above quote from 'World at War' magazine, February 2020; article "Mussolini's Military Diplomacy 1922 - 1940", pages 51 - 59.

My question is, is this how the how RCA's MI-8751 predecessor to the BC-474 was shortstopped from sale to Sweden? Because of 1940 arms embargo? Then the existing product modified to make the earliest BC-474, and then modified again and ruggedized to make the final model BC-474 ( of SCR-288 ) ?
