If the front has not been drilled for extra controls or switches, or existing ones modified for other functions, a 'steam punk'd, or shelf candy buyer', may be impressed with just a line that says it works and works well and be truthful if they ask about modifications. But, the real issue for many will be the shipping, and for the 390 series, that will be a lot, so a receiver that you want 250 for becomes 450 real quick depending on carrier and ship distance. A person that truly loves the R390 or 390A and wants it to attempt to compete against the Honda Civic of hamdom, the IC7300, may be interested, but I think a lot of milsurp has gone back to the pre'CQ Surplus Conversion Manual' days and want it to run 'as built' from the factory. Returning surplus to its former original condition, and putting it on the air is the fun of it all for me, so personally, if I was in the market for a 390, I would bypass your ad as soon as I saw the word 'modification' unless the price was very reasonable and it had potential to be made whole again. The cap change out is a good mod and a plus to a sale though. A chopped and channeled '32 Ford with a modern V8 crammed in, is a cool hot rod, but the original is where the money is.
