Thanks for the informative replies.
I am actually ornery enough that I generally refuse to ship larger complete units out of the USA.
I "checked the box" on this one, allowing out of country. I don't know what I'll decide on the next.
I admit that may be hypocritical because I have bought radios and such from overseas. 
Some things that are "rare", I am quite adamant that while under my control, it won't go overseas.
Of course, the extent of my control is limited.
