[Milsurplus] Radium paint and Xrays

Meters are dismissable as a risk, i think. But radium paint on front panels and heavens, knobs, can't be turned off. I think Walt Hitchins'k ( sp ? ) article in E.R. was a very rational guide on how to regard it. We can live with it, no reason to call out the bomb disposal experts.
I wonder if those TV lead-shielded  rectifier tubes are now collectibles?
