If you're real interested in the story with its alluring features of Pacific islands travel, you might also look at the book
"Fatu Hiva" by Thor Heyerdahl, 1938, translated and reprinted 1974. He newly married with his young wife settled on
this island, only to find out that after a while  it was not quite paradise.
I also have some other sketchbook by a Kon Tiki crewmember, but I don't recall the author name right now.
