If you have never seen the 'Service and Instruction Manual, RADIO, B-24-D Airplane', you are missing a great look at all the comm. gear that was in this, with information applicable to  several other aircraft with the same gear.  Command Set, Liaison, RDF, Interphone, Ant. Reel, and all the hookups and connections, electrical and mechanical to all stations, plus theory of operation, service information with wonderful black and white photos and clear schematics of everything.  I have been trying to find the equivalent for a B17F, but no luck and it looks like Consolidated Aircraft is the only one to make such a comprehensive book for just radio.  About $35 and up, Abe Books is a good place, and can be found on Epay now and then.
