Boys and Girls, this gentleman, member of the NWVRS antique radio club in Portland, Oregon, sent me this note.
The only WW2 radio I am familiar with that used acorn tubes is the TBY.
How about you ? Any comment ? Your information will be useful !

I'm running this 1934 story about the development of the "Acorn" tube in the BALD LETTER (attached). But it leaves us at 1934. What can you tell me about where the tiny tube went during WWII?  Did it keep getting used? (It was named the 955 by RCA, but I find very little mention of it after the war.) I'd like to publish your memories in the Bald Letter, so I'd appreciate it if you'd send them my way (and maybe not post them on the e-group  :).
