[Milsurplus] Midway Radio Recap

All,

Two non-ham retired buddies and I saw “Midway" this weekend and we all thought the movie was excellent.  Woody Harrelson does a great job as Admiral Nimitz.

The Zenith Transoceanic 7G605 “Clipper” radio is prominently shown for a few seconds in a scene where American Navy personnel at Pearl are listening to Radio Tokyo when Doolittle’s Raiders arrive over the city - April 18, 1942 - and the radio announcer announces the raid and sirens are heard.

(The other movie showing at the small theater we attended was “Ford v Ferrari” and it sold out before Midway)
