Hi Nick
I was there this morning also. I would categorize the prices as some
reasonable, but mostly high. I may have been looking at different items
than you were though, and of course YMMV.....
They had a number of nice looking TCS transmitters and receivers, and the
average price was $325 a piece.
Most of the ARC-5 stuff was not in the best of shape, and there were only a
few ham band units. Average price was $95.
There was a BC-456 modulator with no dynamotor for $275.
They had a ratty looking BC-652 receiver for (I think) $275.
They had several ART-13's, but none of them looked very nice, and I didn't
look at the prices.
I looked at a few R-390A's and there were in the $700 range.
I took a bunch of photos and will post them on the web tomorrow.
They had a PP-4763 28V/50A power supply there; I've seen it in their
on-line catalog for a LONG time. I asked the price and it was $295. I
thought that was high, and said I could probably build one for less. The
counter guy just shrugged. Well, it can hold the floor down for another
10 years I guess....
Have fun at Dayton. I was attending a friend's funeral in Indianapolis,
and thought I'd cheer myself up with maybe a goodie or two from Fair
Radio, but all my cash left the building with me.
