[Milsurplus] Fwd: Seen at Fair Radio this AM

All that Navy stuff and around 40 R-390A’s, several R-388’s and 51J4’s were bought by Phil Sellati (Fair Radio) from Liz Wilson K4GHT in FL about a month ago. She had a warehouse full of this equipment which she got from several estates. She started to sell them off piece by piece, but I guess it was easier and less time consuming to sell the whole thing in bulk. I happened to be traveling around there just one day after the equipment was picked up so I contacted her and stopped by, and had the opportunity to pick over the few left-overs – no Navy stuff left… I came home with an R-390A without the rectifiers, but otherwise in good condition, and a TMC VOX-5 master oscillator (not that I needed them, but they looked so lonely and neglected…).

My impression was “not cheap but pretty reasonable”. A few I remember were
$275 for 51J-4 with 3 filters.
$100 for RBA

Nick, do you have any idea of what their prices are like on those sets?

They have a whole batch of TCS, RBA,RBB,RBC,RAK,RAL,RAO,WRR-3, HQ-129, R-388, 51J-4, etc receivers. As in probably 80-100 of these receivers total. As well as all the usual military gear and parts. A good spot to visit when you are in the area for the Dayton/Xenia hamfest.
