Ken and others:I can only assume Amprex meant that the HF-300 was a good replacement for the 204 as a comparison for equipment designers. Certainly, it does not fit those esoteric sockets that the 204 used. IIRC, the 204 tube came out in the mid 1920's and would have been considered a little "long in the tooth" by 1935 when the HF-300 was introduced. I have a 204 around here somewhere. I should dig it out and let it make some RF...
