Heinz - thanks for your considerate offer, but, truthfully, I need more than one, maybe about 8 to start with, so I'm happy to buy these, if I can find a source.
Also, I mention that I often see WW2 German headphones on Epay where the last owner cut off the original connector, which severely drags down the sale
value. So there is a market, I'm sure, for a continued supply of these, if we can find one.
I do have several old German radio receivers so I would prefer to use the original connector on my headphones altho one can use alligator clips or some
other workaround.
I was thinking maybe old USSR - East Bloc used the same 2-pin connector? If so - that would be a source ?
Wenn ich diesen Teil suchen will, wie sol ich den nennen? Wie heisst er ?

Hello Hubert,
the headphone connector you are looking for has two 4mm banana plugs 19mm apart (center to center).
I seem to remember that these were made by Hirschmann and probably other manufacturers as well and were quite common about 50 years ago.
I will check if I have one.

143 lbs. is a about 2x my threshold of pain. I do have a German KWEa and LWEa receivers which are around 80 lbs but no more
heavy sets are coming here.  I do understand the attraction though. If the emotional  delight-factor is great enough, the
formula  ( Delight factor ) /( weight )   ratio  is still favorable.

When I was up in Seattle area last month I was going to bring back an RAL to sell. But when I looked at it, the grey wrinkle finish
looked so good I decided, I have to keep this one! It is big, but kind of a 'creampuff', lots of air inside and it doesn't hurt to lift it
at all.

Cris – or anyone – who knows of a source for the ( German? European standard ? ) 2-banana pin headphone connector ? It is very
common with old German headphones, that an American owner removed the 2-pin plug and replaced with a ¼ inch phone plug,
or no plug at all, just bare wires.
