I was a collector, restorer, and user of classic/antique entertainment
radios for many years. All the crap you mention here destroyed all the
joy in that hobby. I found someone who really enjoyed the radios, and I
knew would cherish and enjoy rather than sell them, and sold the whole
lot to him for a modest price. Other collectors were furious, I don't
care and I don't miss it one bit. I do get a lot of people angry when I
refuse to discuss or help them with troubleshooting that equipment, I
refuse to be used anymore. The one entertainment radio exception I
sometimes make for the right people is the Zenith Transoceanic, it IS a
military radio (R-520), after all!
