[Milsurplus] workshop

My shop has carpet like that, it came that way. I’d like to replace it with something. Under it is concrete, which I had in my last house. There I epoxy painted it, which was ok I guess but kind of cold. I’m not sure what to do but like you I’m probably going to have to do it in sections. Maybe a white/black asphalt tile checkerboard like some radio rooms I’ve seen?

What has everyone else done and are you happy with it?
